The Lunch Box That Came Alive

One day at recess as I was opening my lunch box, something strange began to happen. I didn’t know how.  The lunch box jumped up and down on the table. There was no doubt about it. Something inside my lunch was alive and when I took a look, nothing happened. As soon as I started thinking about it, the lunch box started sparkling and before I knew it, I disappeared into my lunch box.

I was absolutely surprised. Everything was made of food, healthy or not! The trees were made of broccoli, the flowers were made of marshmallows and the leaves were made of lettuce, the water was drinkable, and the sun was of a lemon slice and had French fries as rays. Oh, and the animals! So cute and pretty! I began exploring, and I saw more people. But real normal people, oh what a surprise! But, not even the houses were usual. In fact, a few things were ordinary!

I asked someone, “Where am I?’’. She answered, “Oh, you’re new here, right? Well, this is Foodtown. My name is Amanda. What’s yours?’’. I said, “Amal. I say, will you show me around?’’. She nodded and showed me everything. Suddenly, though I didn’t know how, I saw my grandma watering the plants! I yelled out, “Amanda, I live here! I live here! My family moved here! I live here! Take me there!’’. I pointed in the direction of my house, and Amanda took me. She asked a lot of questions and found out we were the same in many ways! I was very happy in my new life.

THE END
